Radon Action Month

Radon gas exposure is the number one cause of lung cancer deaths among non-smokers. You can’t see, smell, or taste radon gas so you don’t know that you’re breathing it in. Take action and learn more about how you can protect your family from radon exposure.

Florida Department of Health engages Florida middle school and high school students to participate in an annual radon poster contest to help educate their communities about the health risks connected to elevated radon levels.

Florida’s first place poster winners will be submitted in the National Radon Poster contest held during National Radon Action Month in January.
