Census



The purpose of the census is to collect information about the housing units and people of the United States, and then make that data available in a variety of formats and media, including the Internet, CD-ROMs, DVDs, and printed reports. Census 2000 was the largest peacetime effort in the history of the United States. See the US Census for more information.
